King's quest v

    Some of my earliest gaming memories are of Sierra On-Line adventure games. For me, King's Quest V stands out as a sort of turning point for the series. This was the game that replaced the keyboard-driven lexical parser with full mouse control and it was also the first in the series to feature full voice acting. To be honest, though, I didn't play the voice edition until fairly recently--and in all actuality, I don't feel like my experience was any less enjoyable for it. In truth, it was probably more enjoyable since I didn't have to listen to Cedric. Furthermore, owing to the lack of poorly-acted voice recordings, I was free to use my imagination to decide what the intrepid heroes sounded like. To be continued...
